VolleyVis — Information for players and parents

Last updated: 21st of September 2026 Version: 1.0

This page is for people whose volleyball statistics are recorded in VolleyVis by a coach, analyst or club — and for the parents and guardians of players who are under 18. Coaches: feel free to share this link with your squad.

What VolleyVis is

VolleyVis is a web app that coaches use to keep match statistics. During a game the coach types a short line for each rally; the app turns those lines into stats like serve, attack and passing percentages, and rotation analysis.

What information about you it may hold

To make the stats readable, a coach may enter for each player:

  • name (or just a squad number),
  • squad number,
  • playing position, and
  • the performance statistics derived from the rallies they record.

Coaches can also write free-text notes and attach a link to a YouTube video of a match. VolleyVis is not designed to hold health, injury, contact details, dates of birth or any other sensitive information, and coaches are asked not to enter it.

Who is responsible for your data

  • Your coach or club decides to record your statistics and is the "data controller" under UK data-protection law. They are responsible for having a lawful reason to do so and — for players under 18 — for informing and, where required, obtaining permission from a parent or guardian.
  • Boddy.dev Ltd (the company behind VolleyVis) only stores and processes the data on the coach's behalf as their "data processor". We never use it for anything else, never sell it and never use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Only the coach or club account that entered your data can see it in VolleyVis. There is no public profile, league table or search. If your coach exports a match report to PDF or Excel, what they do with that file is up to them.

How long it is kept

Your data stays in VolleyVis for as long as your coach keeps it in their account. Coaches can delete a single player, a team sheet or a whole match at any time. When a coach closes their account, everything in it is permanently deleted. Accounts that are not used for two years are deleted automatically after a warning.

Your rights

You (or, for a child, a parent or guardian) can ask to see, correct or delete the information held about you, or object to it being recorded at all.

  • Ask your coach or club first — they control the data and can act immediately in the app.
  • If you cannot reach them, or you are not satisfied, email us at contact@boddy.dev. We will pass your request to the account holder and help make sure it is dealt with. If we believe data has been recorded unlawfully we can remove it ourselves.

You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (https://ico.org.uk).

More detail

Our full Privacy Policy explains how we look after data, where it is stored and which service providers we use. Our Terms and Conditions set out the coach's responsibilities in more detail (see clause 7.4 and Annex A).
